Voice of the future: The Impact Team 2050 Sustainable Development Festival becomes a national event in Bolivia
From September 19 to 21, the Impact Team 2050 Sustainable Development Festival took place in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. It was organized as part of the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY).
The festival concluded a series of events for the Impact Team 2050 marathon in Latin America, becoming a national event for Bolivia. It brought together 135 young individuals, including 30 activists from rural areas and 25 participants under the age of 16.
The festival in Bolivia became a unique convergence point for youth from 9 regions of the country — from large cities to the most remote rural areas. Here, participants didn’t just listen to lectures. They learned how to prototype real projects, spoke the language of clean energy, and saw technology — including nuclear — as a tool for peace, not a threat. As representatives of the scientific community, we were especially inspired by the panel dedicated to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy — in medicine, environmental protection, and sustainable development. This knowledge is not abstract. It is already becoming part of real initiatives that these young people will take with them to COP30. This is what we call useful energy — the energy of meaning, knowledge, and action
